For quite some time, people have been debating on a topic. The results of the debate are still inconclusive. The topic is- which is better: the iPad or the Android smartphone? Sometime back during the pandemic, while working from home, I started using an iPad as my main device, and within this period, I have understood Apple's iOS operating system much better. There are a few differences that I have observed between iPads and Android smartphones.
1. iPad apps don’t crash as frequently as their Android counterparts

I had to frequently face a lot of difficulties with apps crashing on it being a norm. Whereas, apps do not crash on the iPad as regularly as on Android. When I use my Android smartphones, I can customize everything. It has been observed over the years that the Play Store on Android has undeniably improved drastically, and is now much easier for navigation. What I've noticed on my iPad is that the App Store experience seems to be much sophisticated and friendly. Though this happens to be my personal opinion, other users might have different views about the App Store versus the Play Store.
4. Certain apps from the App Store are better than their Android counterparts
Apple is known for its state-of-the-art standards regarding the apps that are eligible to be in its App Store. Similarly, developers need to create apps that pass specific usability and quality parameters that are recognized by Apple. So, a few third-party apps are much more refined than what you can avail of from the Play Store for Android.
5. There are more paid apps for iPads compared to Android, leading to fewer ads
The regular apps used by all are free on either platform. But if you move out of this bubble, you'll find that there are more apps in the App Store that are paid, compared to their Android counterparts. It may be because Apple's users are expected to be more proficient in spending money on apps compared to Google's followers. However, that also establishes that the apps for iOS are usually less filled with ads. On my iPad, I had to agree by paying extra for some of the apps I was getting for free on Android.
