7 Fundamental iPad Troubleshooting Tips

During an iPad repair in South Riverside, the owner of the store had said that if anyone is facing any problem with his or her iPad, then they should take a step back and try to utilize these solutions. From a network issue to an unresponsive device, you would be able to solve it all by yourself.

1. Restart Your Device

This might sound hilarious, but after restarting your device, you can resolve different kinds of issues related to it. It is one of the easiest solutions to many iOS-related challenges. As you restart your device, its ongoing power cycle would be severed. So, after starting it again, you can overwhelm many network or battery-related issues.

For restarting an iPad, just press the Power (sleep/wake) button. Generally, it is located at the top of the device. After pressing the button, a Power slider will display on the screen. Simply slide it to switch off your device. As your device is switched off, wait for a while and restart it by pressing the Power button.

2. Force Restart Your Device

If your iPad is frozen or is unresponsive, then you can solve this problem by force restarting it. The process commonly used for iPad repair in Lake Elsinore is also known as “hard reset”, as it manually shatters the power cycle of your device. You may contemplate this technique while manually pulling the plug of your device. Though it normally produces productive results, you should refrain from forcefully restarting your iPad now and then.

To do this, only long-press the Home and the Power (wake/sleep) button simultaneously. Generally, after 10-15 seconds, your device’s screen will become black and it will restart. Allow the buttons to go off as the Apple logo would appear on the screen. By forcefully restarting your device, you can resolve various iPad issues without any hassles.

3. Reset Network Settings

There are times when we witness a network-related issue on an iPad. For example, if you can’t connect it to a Wifi network or can’t communicate with messages, then you can resolve it with this technique witnessed during an iPad repair in Redlands. Just reset the network settings on your device and restart it to fix many iPad pro problems.

Go to the settings of your iPad and from there select General and under the “Reset” section, tap on the option of “Reset network settings”. Confirm your choice for restarting your device. Also, you can choose to reset all settings on your device too if you are facing regular Apple iPad issues.

4. Delete Every Content and Settings on the Device

The solution is identical to performing a factory reset on your device. If you are facing connectivity issues or unable to use your iPad the ideal way, then you can erase its content and settings too. Though this will clean your data from your device and you should take its backup beforehand to avoid any unwanted situation.

To reset your iPad, you should initially go to Settings. From there select General, choose Reset and tap on the option of “Erase all content and settings”. Confirm your choice and wait for a while as your device will restart.

5. Put iPad into Recovery Mode

If you have got a black screen on your iPad or if the device is unresponsive, then you can solve this issue by putting it in recovery mode. Later on, by taking the help of iTunes, you can simply update or restore your device.

  • At the outset, launch iTunes on your system and connect a lightning/USB cable to it.

  • Then you should long-press the Home button on your device and connect it to the system to display the “Connect to iTunes” symbol on the screen.

  • Later when iTunes will identify your device, it will generate the following pop-up message. By agreeing to it you may restore your iPad.

You can choose to update or restore your device. However, if after an update, your iPad is stuck in recovery mode, then you can follow this guide and resolve this issue.

6. Put iPad into DFU Mode

If your device has been bricked, then you can solve it by putting it in DFU (Device Firmware Update) mode. After putting the iPad in DFU mode, you can take the help of iTunes for restoring it. However, consider this as your last option as you may end up losing your data files while following this technique. Connect your device to the system and follow the following steps:

  • For putting the device in DFU mode, simultaneously hold the Power and Home button for 5 seconds.

  • Keep holding both the buttons for another ten seconds. Now, allow the Power button to go off while still holding the Home button.

  • Wait for at least 15 seconds till your iPad enters the DFU mode.

Once it is done, you can select it in iTunes and opt to restore or update your device to resolve Apple iPad issues.

7. Use a Third-party Tool
